Training Programmes for Thriving Teams 💡

In today's fast-paced world, uncertainties and unexpected shifts are the new normal for organisations.

Whether it's financial hurdles, global crises, or sudden disruptions, the key to navigating through these challenges successfully lies within your organisation's most valuable asset: your people.

However, teamwork and leading a team are challenging, especially in a fast-paced global environment. Because we all have different backgrounds and experiences, we see the world through different lenses and this causes countless misunderstandings and friction.

On an organisational level, these frustrations and the lack of psychological safety and motivation can cost significantly:

  • 89% of hiring failures within the first 18 months are due to a poor cultural fit. (LeadershipIQ, 2016)
  • 75% of employees leave managers, not companies (Gallup, 2016)
  • 79% of the potential in a team is lost due to the interaction gap (3circlepartners, 2016)

It's not just about having robust strategies and processes anymore; it's about how adaptable, resilient, and agile your employees are when it comes to change. Creating a visibly diverse group is relatively easy; turning it into a high-performing team is challenging.

Grow Your Team with the Human Factor Advantage!

Hands putting together puzzle pieces, the text reads Human Factor Advantage powered by ICQ solutions

A unique learning experience and our most complex team development solution

Unlike boring PowerPoint presentations, our workshops are engaging safe spaces, where we focus on what matters: you will learn to collaborate and leverage your authentic differences in the team without dealing with constant clashes.

All this is based on data-driven solutions, so we tackle what has to be tackled, with no fluff.

Let us walk you through what it looks like!

Roadmap from left to right, with steps of uncovering the current state of the organisation or team.

Step 1: Mapping the current state

We start the programme with a series of insightful conversations with leaders and team members to check the pulse of the organisation and get a picture of how things are currently going.

We also identify the challenges they are facing and map out the current ambient. This sets the stage for the next steps.

Step 2: Assess and prepare

Then we conduct individual Global DISC and Growth Zone assessments that serve as our compasses for the development journey.

The Global DISC assessments are also accompanied by individual debriefing to pave the way to uncovering personal behaviours and preferences. With this, we also take the first step towards self-development and understanding differences.

Growth Zone report example showing where a team is in terms of psychological safety and motivation

Next up: psychological safety and motivation.

By conducting the Growth Zone assessment, we take a look at the team’s current state when it comes to psychological safety and motivational drive.

The assessment measures 8 sub-areas within these fields completely anonymously, as such we can get an unbiased image of how the team feels.

3 components of a successful team: cultural fluency psychological safety motivation as a circle

Step 3: Transformation

Based on these results, participants go through a series of workshops:

  • Cognitive diversity (linked to Global DISC assessment): uncover the team’s strengths and blind spots and learn how to work best with different perspectives
  • Psychological Safety (linked to Growth Zone): Learn where the team is at when it comes to vulnerability, courage, collaboration and inclusivity.
  • Motivational Drive (linked to Growth Zone): Uncover where the team is at in terms of purpose, autonomy, mastery and accountability.

We also design and deliver a final team-building workshop, where we pull all of our findings together and focus on relieving the most burning issues of the team in order to build more collaboration and trust.

Step 4: Follow up

Our commitment doesn’t end here!

Both assessments come with a 3-month long Quest, which is an interactive coaching platform designed to help participants expand their comfort zones and enhance behavioural flexibility and growth mindset.

A few months later we also revisit the Growth Zone assessments to see the impact the changes have made. This also helps to see if there are any further areas or burning issues that still need attention.

What Tools Do We Work with?

Global DISC report example for individuals and measuring cognitive diversity for teams

Global DISC

ICF-accredited, multi-award-winning tool (developed by ICQ Global) for making sense of why people think and behave differently, so we can turn these differences into synergy.

It introduces the topic of cultural intelligence using the language of the most widely known behavioural model, DISC. In addition to the WHAT and HOW Global DISC offers a third layer: WHY we think and behave differently.

The assessment can be done in 5 minutes and comes with a comprehensive 42-page long report (we recommend adding an individual briefing session too for deeper understanding).

The individual reports can be used to create a group report, measuring the cognitive diversity of the team. Reports also allow us to measure mindset gaps: between individuals, groups or an individual and certain countries/profiles.

Growth Zone

The only assessment on the market that can measure and visualise how motivated and psychologically safe your team feels.

It determines whether your organisation is growing or declining and helps to find the next steps for turning your team into a high-performing one.

This unique diagnostical tool helps you get a snapshot of where your team is (within 8 sub-areas), so we can uncover what potential issues or dangers there are and start addressing them.

The measurement can be repeated 3-6-12 months later (in fact, we recommend it) to see changes and evolution of the team.

Our workshops are safe and engaging learning spaces, where we mix theory with lots of experiential learning, reflection and discussions.

All our training sessions include practical exercises to make sure you leave with different tools and strategies you can apply to your daily context after the training programme.

Oh and of course fun too, because work is already challenging enough - but learning can and should be joyful!
